Payments you can trust

Free means free. Paid requests are charged only after acceptance. Direct tips are charged when the guest confirms.

A temporary hold is created, then captured only if the performer accepts.

A standalone tip is charged immediately and does not need performer approval.

Tip attached to a free request? It is charged only if that request is accepted. Declines and expiry cancel the authorization; your bank or wallet controls when the hold disappears. Pay by card, with Apple Pay or Google Pay shown where available.

Visual Wall is the high-energy option for clubs, festivals, and bigger rooms. Put the same permanent QR on a TV, projector, or LED wall while 45 live visual scenes move around it. Posters and tablets work just as well for smaller performances.

Good questions deserve straight answers.

What can guests send?

A song request, a dedication, or a direct tip. The performer chooses what is open, whether requests are free or paid, and the minimum for each paid option.

Do guests need to install anything?

No. The QR opens a mobile web page where guests choose a song request, dedication, or tip. Free requests need no checkout; paid actions use the browser.

When is the money actually taken?

Paid requests are charged only after acceptance. Free requests need no payment. A direct tip is charged immediately; an optional tip attached to a free request is charged only if that request is accepted.

What happens if the performer declines?

A paid request or attached optional-tip authorization is cancelled automatically. Banks and wallets typically remove the hold within a few days. A standalone direct tip is separate and does not require approval.

What does BeatRequest cost?

There is no monthly subscription. BeatRequest keeps 30% of each successfully captured payment, and 70% is credited to the performer. Declined song requests and dedications are not charged.

How do performers get paid out?

Paid activity requires Stripe Connect. Stripe routes 70% of each captured payment to the performer's connected balance, and bank payouts follow Stripe's onboarding, country, currency, and payout-schedule rules. Free song requests and dedications can stay open without payment setup.

Can I choose the event currency?

Yes. Search and choose from 135 currencies supported by Stripe before the event goes live. The selected currency stays locked while the event is live, so prices, checkout, and captured amounts remain consistent. Payment-method, Stripe Connect, payout, and currency-conversion availability still depend on the country and provider.

Can I close an event?

Yes — one tap in the app. The QR stops accepting new requests immediately, and anything still pending stays in your queue to accept or decline.
